I'm wondering, with all this hope floating in the air, can we as a nation, a people, as individuals hold on to it and actually make it work for us? I'm excited about all the things I have the opportunity to learn. As the crowds file on to the Mall in DC the excitement grows for the new President and his plans for our future.
Hope is not just a wish that requires no action on our part. Hope is the spark that ignites our desire for SOME thing. Faith is the action required to step into the dark unknown in pursuit of that hope. Whatever your Some Thing is I hope you take the electric excitement of today and allow it to propel you into the unknown - whatever your quest is.
No matter the story, Calvin and Hobbes make me happy. I can say hands down they are my favorite comic strip ever. That Bill Waterson knew what he was doing. It was a sad, sad, sad day when he retired his marker.
