Done, Done. Done!

Friday - Turned in my GRO - 1 month early and 4,000 words over the required amount!

GRO: First year PhD's are, technically, provisional. You have until April 15th to write one chapter of your dissertation. It has to be well written, include a bibliography and information on what you plan to cover in the rest of your 80,000 words. Once it is accepted you are then considered a full time, 'have a good time but be done in two more years,' PhD candidate.

Kristin de Troyer says I am ready to go. Now we just need to hear back from the second, anonymous reader. Once that's done I am off to the races!

To celebrate Kathleen and I are heading to Leven - about an hour away - because I heard a department store there has the largest (and closest) fabric selection in the kingdom of Fife. Kathleen's driving since I have a hard time locating Leven on the map. Oh, and the giggle for today.... The department store is very proudly named 'Reject's Department Store.' Really - not Nordstrom's, not Jordan's - Reject's! Yeh, I don't have high expectations but it's a day out of the bubble and with Kathleen so I know we'll have a fun time regardless of the outcome!
