Ah, Wednesday Nights!

I just had to post this picture! That's Ellie on the left and Richie on the right. Holly took the picture in their dorm kitchen around 11pm this past Wednesday night.

You see - Wednesday is Institute. I pick up three undergrad students and take them into Dundee. Class is over around 8:30pm then there is some food and socializing. We usually have to leave by 9:20pm to get Richie to the Dundee bus station so he can catch his bus home for the night (He is 16 and lives at home about an hour south of school but spends most of his waking time here in St Andrews). Last week Richie was desperate for KFC or McDonald's and the infection spread to all three students. BUT getting the fast food would make him miss his bus. I told him IF he got permission to stay overnight we could add a run to McD's before the ride home. I was notified within 48 hours it was all set!

So, this past Wednesday I picked up everyone at 7pm, we went to Institute, had a great lesson, some good food, then the socializing began... We didn't leave the church building until about 10pm. The choice was McDonald's over KFC so we set out across Dundee - there is only one McD's in town and it's on the opposite side of the city. Turns out with a student ID you can get a free hamburger or a free sundae. They all got sundaes, of course. The ice cream was consumed on the ride home but this picture was the result when they got back to the dorm.

The smiles, thumbs up and the scriptures on the table make it all worthwhile!
