Can you hear the music?

I keep finding stuff that has to be examined, organized, repacked and stored. Yesterday Mom & Dad decided it was time to empty the attic for a yard sale at their church. Down came two rugs, an old (and now illegal) crib, boxes of memorabilia and several boxes marked "BETH." Most of the stuff are memories from high school and college years that were left behind when I moved to CA and never got back to.

I found my elementary school report cards and class photos - things have improved on both fronts since then!!! I found doll clothes and my Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica trading cards. I also found my design for a Skylab-like space station ;-) I was such a geek!

I also found a small book entitled "A Year is Round." The inscription inside reads "To Beth From Mummy Christmas 1967." There is a page for each month with birth sign info, birthstone and flower - March is Pisces (Feb 20 - Mar 20), Bloodstone and Daffodils. The facing page has a unique piece of poetry. The quote for March is by Theodor Fontane:

"Only one thing matters -
that wherever we go
And however we go
We hear the music of life."

I think I'm going to make that my motto when I return to school in September.
