My own Wanderings

Every once in a while I either went off by myself or got hung up and separated from the body of the group. This was one of my favorites... A 1952 Ford Prefect!

Yup - just casually sitting there parked on the side of the road. I have to say, the Brits (Scots, etc.) really do know how to take care of their cars! Beautiful condition and the background setting just about makes you feel like you've stepped back in time.

I wasn't the only one to stop to admire it. I would have sworn by the grill and the rather art deco design it was a late 30's early 40's model but the owner stopped by and said it was 1952 - but I was correct on the design. Even in the 50's it was considered a bit old fashioned.

Just loved the detail work!

This is the car's owner - actually he said the car owned him not the other way around. While we were chatting these two lovely ladies came up. They oooohed and aahhhed just like me. One of them mentioned the leather of the back seats and all the space. The owner said 'All the better for wooing.' And the women both agreed - it seemed from experience!

Sunday was Easter. The rest of the house wasn't really in the mood but I got up, walked into town and attended the service at this lovely old church - St Mary's, I think.
