Memorial Day Weekend - Scotish style

The weather continued to hold straight through to Monday - which, I was reminded, was Memorial Day back home.  A couple of PostGrads got together to play American football on the beach at East Sands.  I went along to snap a few photos:

But, since this is Scotland you must have an ancient harbor breakwater in the back ground.

And a ruined Cathedral doesn't hurt either.

I did stick my feet in the North Sea, finally!  And, truth be told, it wasn't as cold as expected.  No frostbite or hypothermia.

After the game I walked back along the beach and did what I always do on a beach - picked up sea glass.  I filled the pockets of my shorts.  All in all it was a fantastic Memorial Day all the way around!
