Everything here is just waiting - waiting for a bit more warmth, waiting for oars, waiting for visitors of all kinds. Even the boats are looking forward to the summer and the open water.
I went for a walk this morning for exercise and took my camera - a short walk ended up taking two hours. It was so worth it! The air was clear after an early morning rain. Just a bit of wind and bright, bright sun. I could almost hear all the summer noise but at the same time I didn't want anyone else to come and ruin the peaceful, perfection that is an early summer Cape morning.
In the meantime the beach houses, like big lazy dogs, lounge in the sun just waiting for their owners to arrive for the season. When they finally do the houses will slowly open their blinds, reveal their beach chairs and stretch every muscle until laughter is carried out to the waves on a summer breeze. We are all just waiting for you.
