What a day it has been!

Started out rough and windy but the sun broke through making a gorgeous afternoon. I worked in the office - getting a bit more done on my Judges paper. Then ran down to St. Mary's to return some books to the library - passing two weddings on the way. Packed up and came home.

Had to return some books to the main library so I dropped my bag and headed out again. After the library I poked my head into a few of the stores but it was so nice outside I didn't stay long. On the weekend there is a used book seller who sets up a couple of tables in the middle of market street (really - the cars have to drive around him and the fountain). I took a very long, leisurely looksey and found a cook book and a Michael Connelly mystery all for about 4 pounds. Started to head home but saw a kilt clad gentleman or two in St. Salvator's quad and followed... Wasn't dressed to attend the wedding reception so I settled for a bench in the sunshine and read the cookbook and the first chapter of Connelly. Only came home when the hand holding the book just wouldn't warm up again.

I can't think of a better combination - new books (at least to me) and a huge dose of sunshine! Thank you God.
