Buggin Out!

Today I feel like a M*A*S*H unit. Got up this morning and went into the office but knew right away that nothing was going to get done so I packed a lunch, packed my computer, packed my current work folders and bugged out to the Fairmont again.

Ahhhh, the Atrium of Celestial Glory... ok, maybe not so much because it was a bit cloudy today but still. Arrived around 10am. Unpacked my computer, unpacked my current work folder, unpacked my lunch and then decided it was too early for the sandwich but the peanut M&M's were calling my name so I held on to them.

Got to work and by 12:30pm I had the first section I wanted done - done! Unpacked my lunch and played a few hands of solitaire. Around 1 or so I got back down to work on section number 2. It took longer than I expected. Just when I thought I'd covered everything I turned my notes over and realized I had another page of quotes to deal with. 4pm came and I put the final period down with flair!

But I couldn't go home - no parking until at least after 4:30pm when most of the university workers go home. So I moved up to the Fairmont hotel bar, ordered a really tall glass of soda water with lime and reviewed my notes for tomorrow. I was thinking I'd set up all over again but realized that enough was enough. Besides - a total of 7 pages is about my limit per day.

Tomorrow I set up in the office again since the notes review revealed several holes in the next two arguments. I'll work on finding quotes for those and then, hopefully, bug out to the Fairmont again on Thursday. If all goes according to plan I'll have those two sections done Thursday which leaves Friday for laundry and packing for Cyprus.

I'll take notes for the chapters final (and longest) section with me and maybe work on it out by the pool! Here's to you Hawkeye - hey, can I borrow your ratty old bathrobe? Actually, when I think about it, never mind. I don't want to be asked to leave the Fairmont for not dressing appropriately.
