Happy Jubilee Everyone

Greetings from Cyprus

It's Monday night and Kathleen and I are happily ensconced in the lobby of our schizophrenic Vegas wanna be hotel. (I'll have pictures for you later.) Our flight Saturday went without incident. We left a cold, wet and windy Edinburgh that was expecting snow and landed in Paphos, Cyprus just as the sun was setting behind the Mediterranean clouds. It was a picture worthy of National Geographic with the sun burning the very outline of the clouds before giving up and sliding beneath the horizon.

Sunday was very quiet for the two of us... because the Scottish weather decided it wanted to go on holiday with us. Yes - we woke up to high winds, rain that would have threatened Noah and cold, cold, cold! We got up, had breakfast and then justified going back to bed because we really haven't had a day off in quite a long time. We lounged around. We watched movies we'd brought with us. We rearranged the room furniture. Eventually we did venture out to meet up with two friends of Kathleen's who are also here. We drove up the coast and, in between spitting rain and a few fierce winds took some great pictures of another Med sunset.

My posts won't be too long and might not be on a daily basis as we have to pay for internet at the hotel and their aren't many wifi hotspots here on the island but thus endeth day one.
