What a difference a day makes

Yesterday morning dawned clear and beautiful. Having learned earlier that clear usually means cold I dressed appropriately, grabbed my camera and headed toward the office. I took a detour out to the cliff path to shoot this - the ruined castle in the morning light. The birds where having a great time surfing the breezes and the castle had a rosy glow in the sunlight.

I turned off the cliff path and headed to the office for real but the cathedral graveyard captured my attention and I just couldn't pass it by. There are moments when I seriously wonder - if it was perfectly quiet and I was all alone would I hear the sounds, conversations and desires of those who have gone before me into this amazing place?

Today dawned dark and windy - a true Winnie the Pooh blustery day. The walk to the office was a bit tougher against the wind but the views were just as spectacular. With true Scottish perseverance, the sun broke through, if only for a few minutes. Frankly, I think the sun came out just so I could capture it over the stone pier.

The clouds were moving fast in the wind but the beams of sun would not bend. Which promves, I believe, that hope, no matter how fleeting, has a true strength of it's own.

  1. Gorgeous! Why didn't I get sent somewhere like that? Instead I get sent to a place I like better when I have my eys closed and I never have to go outside. ;)
