Snow Sunday

Snow again. It came down all light and deceptively fluffy but this morning it had that slushy underbelly which makes it impossible to sweep off the sidewalk. YES, I actually tried to sweep the sidewalk. It could have been possible with a shovel but I don't believe there is a shovel to be had in all of Scotland.

Church wasn't exactly canceled. The Bishop sent word that they would only have sacrament but it didn't matter much because the Larsen's couldn't get their car out of their driv
eway, let alone up the street. So I stayed home. Was going to walk over to Holy Trinity church and attend their 11am service but at 10:45am the snow was again coming down so thickly that I decided to stay in and watch a session of last October's General Conference.

All in all it was a very nice day. Kohleun and I watched a couple of Christmas movies and then decided that a bit of fresh air and exercise was necessary. We trotted (actually, more like slipped and slid) out to Tesco's because Ben & Jerry's pints were on sale for only 2pounds! I had a big bag of Cadbury chocolate buttons (a present for an office mate) and a pint of Half-Baked ice cream when I literally ran into Gavin Hopps - eminent (and cute, funny, single) ITIA professor. The last time we bumped into each other was a different late night run to Tesco's when I had a case of diet coke under each arm.

I have two choices - 1. put a GPS locater anklet on Gavin so I know when he is NOT in Tesco's or 2. Stop making late night runs Tesco runs for items with little or no nutritional value. Knowing me... the anklet is more likely to happen.
