Today at 9:30am I officially became a professor (well, sort of). Today we had what they call here "Subjects Talks." It is for the incoming students, mostly freshmen, to introduce them to the courses that will be offered and the professors teaching them. Since I am teaching Biblical Hebrew this year my supervisor asked me to introduce the class.... I even had a power point presentation!
Even though the computer really didn't like me we worked out our difference before everyone rolled in and, when it was my turn, the computer cooperated. I think I did ok - at least it looked like they were hanging on my every word. We'll see by the end of the week just how many students I have, so stay tuned!
