Impressions of SLC & Provo

Hot and Cold

I mean 70 degrees one day and snowing the next! The first three days I was in Utah it was in the 70's and I had no idea how to dress with the clothes I'd brought. Then, overnight (literally) it snowed and was in the 30's. Everything went from being that dull spring brown to a winter wonderland, pretty enough for a calendar or Christmas Card.

My presentation and teaching went well, maybe even better than expected but, honestly, it was the people I saw that made all the difference.

Had dinner with Betsy VandenBurge and her family after a get together with some amazing women - fun, challenging, invigorating conversations were had all around! Sunday night I had dinner with Margaret & Latricia Nell at their place in south Provo. I LOVE them - the dinner was delicious and the conversations even better. I felt so relaxed - and the view of the snow covered mountains from their house was beautiful. On my last day I dropped in on Jeff Parkin as he was teaching a class. Thank goodness he recognized me or that would have been embarrassing! Sitting in on the last few minutes of his script writing class just made me feel all warm and fuzzy (in a good way)! I wish we'd had more time but he was rushing in one direction and I in the other. Maybe next time I'm in town... ;-)

Besty from my Boston Days, Jeff from LA and Margaret & Latricia from DC. I felt very blessed to feel so connected over the course of so many years!
