Oh the GLORY of Stained Glass!
After the meandering I got down to serious sight seeing. Curt had suggested Christ Church Cathedral because it was first built in the middle ages and had some impressive architecture and history. He didn't tell me about the stained glass!
I have no idea what this depicts but I just loved the detail.

A lot of the stained glass was put in or restored during the Victorian era but I don't care! I could stare at it for hours. And the weather (22C and bright sun) just made it all the more glorious.
When I first stepped into the Cathedral's vestibule there was a stairway off to the left that led somewhere and the iron gate was open so I went that way. It was a corridor that lead to a bridge over the street to an adjacent building. The building wasn't open so it was sort of a dead end but I was able to get up close and personal with some of the stained glass... and no one knew I was there so I felt like a detective or spy on a mission.
