Wandering around the city
Monday morning Curt was back in the national library or some other archive and I meandered around the city of Dublin. In some section marked 'antique market' section of town where I hoped to find lots of things I couldn't buy and take back to Scotland with me I found this building:
Some kind of market built around the turn of the century. It seemed abandoned. What fascinated me however, were the busts above each arch. Across the front they were all different and seemed to represent different parts of the world or different merchants.
This one looks like an American Indian - feathered headdress and all.
It really was a shame about the wire and all the old beer cans and rubbish behind the beautiful gates. It made me want to buy the building and turn it into an amazing house! (I really need to graduate and get back into the real world)
I want to blow this one up so you can get a closer look at the face. This is the only bust on the side of the building and he's winking at you!
